December 17th: A Visit to the Winter Wonderland

We skated in the morning, and then went to Liseberg with Robert, Anna, Klara, and Love. They had it all decked out for Christmas. The sun sets so early here that it was dark dark when we got there at 4. They don't stream daylight lights into the park, but instead keep it lit just with colored lights. It still feels very much like night. Fake snow and christmas lights everywhere. Love and I went ice skating! It was wonderful. Afterwards, we had dinner over at Robert and Anna's, and took the bus back to the apartment. It's just one bus line from their home to ours, so it feels really close.

On the way to Santa's Workshop (or, rather, Tomtehuset)

Tomtehuset was full of animatronic elves. The whole thing was really epic. These guys, though, were not working very hard at all.

We don't know what this guy's job is supposed to be

This is what Swedish Santa looks like!
