Iceland, Day 2

Day Two in Iceland:
1: drove 10 minutes from our guesthouse to a hot spring that was a mud bottomed hole in the grass for a quiet soak in the misty morning (Per took a photo, but I didn't). There was a church there with gravestones made out of obsidian!
2: Visited Geysir, for which all geysers are named. Saw lots of bubblers and hot pots, and of course a geyser.
3: Went to another hot spring! This one was a for pay place with showers and a well kept pool. A Canadian white guy tried to talk to us about how Trump is good for the world because he's a rule breaker. I'm quite proud of myself for assertively telling him that he is welcome to have his opinion but that the conversation was over, no thank you goodbye, and then Per and I floated away to warmer waters. No photos, but the place is called Secret Lagoon
4: Bought some groceries. The chocolate was next to the beans. ?
5: Stopped at an eco village. Population 100, many of who are adults with disabilities. Bought an amazing and slightly terrifying hand knitted doll
6: And we are now at our guest house for the night. The building is quite old, and the remodel on the inside is quite dingy. The surroundings are seriously ridiculous though. Absolutely stunning, and I don't say that lightly. Seriously amazing. It's in this vast valley with snowy mountains on one side and a steep grass and stone slope behind. Columnar basalt show here and there. Two waterfalls are directly behind the building. And you can see a glacier. Also, there are gravestones in the yard... Four gravestones. In the yard. Four. Yard. Gravestones.
