Iceland 2018, Day 1

Day One in Iceland
1: Fly into KEF
2: Drive around in a crazy barren lava flow region
3: Walk across a rift between the Eurasia and Americas tectonic plates
4: Shipwreck that is really far from the ocean
5: Climb around in a lava tunnel and take a super weird selfie
7: Visit a drowning pool where impure women were executed
8: Baby geese
9: Baby chicks
10: Baby bunnies
11: a super huge waterfall
Not pictured: A baby tern we accidentally freaked out, and a foal that is scampering around the paddock near the guesthouse we are staying tonight.
Who knew Iceland would have so many baby animals to offer me!?!
Picking up our car from the Reykjavik airport at the super early hour of 8am after having left Sweden 3 hours and a timezone earlier.

Lava field right near the airport

The rift between two continental plates

I found a cave!

Strange metal-like formations on the cave ceiling

A cashier had a pretty tattoo.

The drowning pool.  Beware liberated women; it waits for you.

Babis!
