Since kind of moving back to White Salmon, we've appreciated the many differences between city life and small town life.

Don at ACE Hardware offered to price check battery powered chainsaws in The sales. He didn't normally take Saturdays off, but there were 29 cent burgers that day. In the end he didn't go, because his friend in Tygh Valley needed help rounding up her cattle that she'd let loose to run ahead of the wild fire. He'd spent the night on horseback in the prarie.
